ASCE 7 new code, ASCE 7-16 is adopted in Indonesia to become several building codes namely, SNI 1726:2019 for earthquake loads and its requirements and SNI 1727:2020 for minimum loads on buildings. There is a new requirement that is different from SNI 1727:2013, namely tsunami loads. This load is adopted because of its relevance to Indonesia. This study aims to know the structural response of a building subjected to different tsunami heights. Inundation heights will be varied to 1 story, 2 stories, and 3 stories. Another variation that is used in this study is structural acceptance criteria, namely linear acceptance and nonlinear acceptance. Fixed variables are materials specification, structural topology, and loads except tsunami. Independent variables are varied namely tsunami loads and structural acceptance criteria. Comparison will be made to the dependent variables, namely deformation, internal force, and structure weight. The results show that the internal forces due to the tsunami loads occurred at the lower level of the building as high as the inundation height. The applied tsunami forces are hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and debris impact forces. Acceptance criteria of structure affects the internal forces that occur. Hydrodynamic base shear force depends on the height of the tsunami, where the greatest value is in the 3 stories tsunami high, which is 38,392.687 kN in the load case 2. Nonlinear structures can reduce the bending moment that occurs in the column up to 49.665% in comparison with linear structures. The upper floor exterior columns are generally controlled by debris impact loads. The lower floor column is controlled by hydrodynamic loads. The results show that 10-story structure is not vulnerable to be lifted by the buoyancy load. The smallest net lift that occurs is 155.760 kN (down). The smallest net lift occurs in the interior column of model 5 (tsunami 2 nonlinear acceptance criteria).
