the rapid development of music in indonesia is the same as in other countries which are very fast, both locally and nationally. music is an art that composes sound and sound elements that have existed from time to time. music is also often used as a universal language of every country that is enjoyed by various groups. the diversity of music in palembang is also very diverse, both regional and trending music among the community. the city of palembang in the music sector has developed rapidly. however this education is only in the form of non-formal music education facilities. judging from the progress of music today, the facilities and infrastructure in accommodating interest and talent activities in music in the form of a place to channel and develop artistic talents are still inadequate. even though people appreciate and have a very high interest in music. we can see this appreciation with the many events, shows and musical performances in palembang. the number of performances in the city of palembang requires a place to accommodate these musical talents. based on the function of the building, namely as a formal education facility and the importance of melody in the delivery of music, this high school is expected to be very close to melodies and other musical elements. to perfect the above concept, the chosen style is symbolic architecture. architectural symbolism really refers to the building style to be achieved where the building and music have continuity.
