ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN STRUKTUR RANGKA BAJA TIPE SPLIT K BRACED EBF DAN V BRACED EBF DENGAN TIME HISTORY ANALYSIS
Earthquakes are one of the causes that can damage building structures and could make the died. Earthquake-resistant buildings are needed to avoid construction losses and the safety of their occupants. Eccentrically braced frame (EBF) is a system that is applied only to frame structures for earthquake-resistant buildings that have good ductility and elastic stiffness. This research aim to analyze the comparison between split K braced EBF and V braced EBF with time history analysis. The method used is the time history analysis. Time history data using data from the Mentawai islands. Mentawai is one of the islands in Indonesia. The analysis was assisted by a computer program. Structure with split K braced EBF can work more effectively to withstand earthquake loads. This is because the structure has a smaller deviation value than structure V braced EBF. The structure with split K braced EBF can be more effective because the structure has the smallest drift ratio value when compared to the V type braced EBF structure. The structure with split K braced EBF has better effectiveness than the structure with V braced EBF to withstand earthquake loads in the form of a time history and has a smaller structural response, displacement, acceleration, and velocity. The structure with split K braced EBF has a weight of 13439.25 tons which is bigger than the V type braced EBF braced weighing 13434.31 tons. If it is made in percentage the difference between the two breces weights is 0.04%. The basic static shear force for the split K braced EBF model is for the X and Y directions of 134582.6 kN while the V braced EBF model is 134532.8 kN. The basic dynamic shear force of split K braced EBF in the X direction is 12685.17 kN and the Y direction is 12685.17 kN, while the diagonal type of EBF is 12680.50 kN in the X direction and 1260.51 kN in the Y direction
