Indonesia is one of the high potential areas for earthquakes. In planning and designing structures of concrete earthquake-resistant, it is necessary to pay attention to the applicable rules. Based on the regulations in Indonesia refer to SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019. One of the case studies at the building of the Diploma IV program Sriwijaya Polytechnic, which is a four-story building. An alternative structure is planned for the building using a structural system, namely the Special Moment Bearing Frame System, by changing the type of the slab from one way to two ways by adding beams and reducing the dimensions of the existing beams. In the alternative structure, the dimensions of the existing beams were changed from 300 x 600 mm to 300 x 400 mm and 300 x 450 mm. the Changes in the type of the slab aim to determine the performance of the structure and the comparison with the existing structure. Structural performance analysis was carried out with the help of the SAP2000 v.14 programs for performance results in the form of slab deflection and story drift. The results of the structural performance analysis on alternative and existing structures for slab deflection and story drifts show that the differences are not too big, and both structures are still in a safe condition
