Banyuwangi, one of the districts in East Java, have many culture that is passed down from generation to generation until now. These cultures include traditional ceremonies, unique foods, batik, traditional houses, and some kind of traditional musics and dances. Even though annual festivals, these activities are less effective for providing detailed information to tourist. Moreover, location of each culture which is far from each other makes it difficult for people to learn the whole culture of Banyuwangi. A cultural center could be a solution to these problem. Furthermore, this cultural center could become a place to introduce and teach cultures that exist on Banyuwangi. In order to attract tourists, the designing of Banyuwangi Cultural Center uses an approach that not only introduces cultures through pictures and texts, but also through the shape of the building and the circumstance of the room inside. This could be done by applying the architectural concept of Rumah Osing (the traditional house of Osing Banyuwangi tribe) into the building.
