RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM CHARGE CONTROLLER BATERAI PADA PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA GELOMBANG SUNGAI BERBASIS ARDUINO
Every human need today can not be separated from electrical energy. However, conventional energy sources are currently running low. One way to overcome this is to use alternative energy, one of which is river waves. The Musi River has great energy potential as seen from the large number of waves it produces. Therefore, Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gelombang Sungai (PLTGS) can be a solution to this problem. The energy produced by PLTGS will be stored in the battery before use. Generally when a battery is fully charged, to switch to charging to another battery, this needs to be done manually. The tool designed in this study is when one battery is full, it will switch to charging another battery automatically. The charge controller uses Arduino Uno as a control center and monitor. There are three conditions to be considered namely full, not full, and no battery; the battery is not inserted into the charging slot. There are two batteries that will take turns charging, and if they are full, they will all disconnect themselves. However, the tools in this study were only limited to two batteries. In determining the State Of Charge (SOC) this tool uses the Open Voltage Circuit (OVC) method. Then the condition of the two batteries will be displayed on the LCD.
