FOTODEGRADASI ZAT PEWARNA ALIZARIN RED MENGGUNAKAN TIO2-HUMIN DAN SINAR UV
A research had been done on the degradation of alizarin red dyes using TiQ2-humin and UV radiation. Ti02-humin made by mixing humin and Ti02 using a magnetic stirrer in 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 60 minutes. The products were characterized by FT-IR spectrophotometer and tested for acidity in absorbing ammonia during in 24 hours vaeuum. The best Ti02-humin was eharaeterized by X-ray diffraction, SEM and gas sorption analyzer. Activity of Ti02-humin to degrade Alizarin red was tested with time variation 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 minutes, irradiated with UV radiation. The degradation products analyzed by UV-Vis spectrophotometer. IR spectra of Ti02-humin syntesis product shown similar spectrum for all stirrer time variations Ti02-humin with stirrer time 10 minutes was selected due to the greatest acidity value of 4.988 mmol/g. The distribution of Ti02 on humin showed firom SEM characterization ie Ti02 was dispersed in humin and the XRD result showed that the TiQ2-hymin was consists of rutile (R), anatase (A) and brookite (B) structure. The gas sorption analysis for Ti02-humin porosity showed a surface area of 6.531 m2/g, total volume of 0.084 cc/g, and pore radius of 75.515 A. The yield of photodegradation of alizarin red dye showed that the largest percent reduction of alizarin red by humin, which means that Ti02-humin performance less effective for degradation organic dye compound.
