ANALISIS PENINGKATAN KADAR BIJIH TIMAH MENGGUNAKAN SHAKING TABLE UNTUK MEMENUHI STANDAR KEBUTUHAN INDUSTRI SMELTER
Indonesia is one of the countries in Asia which has abundant resources. One of the many resources found in Indonesia is mineral resources. Tin is one of the most abundant mineral resources in Indonesia. The process of washing tin ore is carried out using a shaking table. Shaking Table is a tool whose main part consists of a table consisting of a slightly tilted deck which works because of the shock force and wash water which can increase the lead ore content and can increase the content up to 7274%. This tool works because of the gravitational force, the frictional force between the particles and the plane layer, and the driving force of the fluid. Shaking tables also use the principle of the difference in density between tin and its impurities. After carrying out the washing process, it was found that the tin had a suitable level as bait for the expansion process. The lead content that is suitable for smelting is Sn with levels of 72-74. The discharge and rifle height are variables contained in the shaking table that can affect the results of the tin washing process. Therefore, based on this, a study was conducted on the analysis of increased lead content to meet smelter industry standards. The results of this study based on the results of the analysis show that the sampe feed consists of the minerals cassiterite, xenotite, ilmenite, limonite, and quartz. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the Sn content is 23.66%. A large water discharge will cause a large thrust of water. However, if the water discharge is too large, it will cause fine particles and heavy particles to be pushed directly into the concentrate container. Based on the research results, the effect of rifle height on the level acquisition and recovery is that the higher the rifle, the better the levels and recovery. However, if the rifle is too high, it will cause the rotary current to be unable to stir and transport the particles that are under the lowest layer of the area between the rifles. The best levels and recovery were obtained at 35L / m water discharge and 0.4mm rifle height where in these conditions the levels and recovery were 73.72% and 88.01%.
