PERILAKU KESEHATAN MAHASISWA TERJANGKIT HEPATITIS A DI UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA KAMPUS INDRALAYA OGAN ILIR SUMATERA SELATAN
This study examines and examines the health behavior of students infected with hepatitis A at Sriwijaya University, Indralaya Ogan Ilir campus, South Sumatra. Lately, the rise of viral hepatitis that infects students is due to the unhealthy behavior of students who are motivated by several factors. The objects in this study were students who were infected with hepatitis A who met the criteria for informants in this study. This study aims to examine more deeply about the factors that cause the increase in hepatitis A, healthy behavior and sick behavior of students who are infected with hepatitis A. The theory used to examine this health behavior problem is the health behavior theory of Mechanic. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with students infected with hepatitis A as the main informants of the study and doctors and their boarding friends as supporting informants in this study. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, structured interviews with key informants and supporting informants, and documentation The results of this study indicate that there are several factors that cause an increase in hepatitis A in students due to transmission from friends, transmission from eating utensils, an unclean environment and transmission through eating places (canteens/warteg). Then continued with the healthy behavior of students in preventing hepatitis A, namely doing sports, consuming nutritious food, and consuming herbal medicines. While the sick behavior of students in dealing with hepatitis A is seeking medical help, namely doing medical check-ups, health checks, being treated by a doctor, having blood checked, undergoing hospitalization, being given medicine by a doctor and seeking treatment by returning home.
