This research is titled “Street Child coaching by Social Services of the Palembang City”. The research problem in this study is how the process and coaching activities carried out by the Palembang City Social Service Palembang City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by using a phenomenological strategy. The unit of analysis in this study is the organization, namely the Palembang City Social Service in the field of Social Rehabilitation through the Palembang City Child and Youth Development Institution by using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews with informants, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the guidance of street children by the Social Service the city of Palembang has various forms of coaching from physical coaching, mental psychology coaching, religious moral coaching, social community guidance and skills training. This coaching is adjusted to the strategy used by the Child and Adolescent Development Social Institution in carrying out the coaching. In addition, this coaching has very positive implications for street children by producing good physical, spiritual and mental health and the creation of awareness, understanding and social responsibility of street children, then followed by the development of self-quality through skills training so that street children have the capital to don't come back on the street. This study suggests that street children are nurtured to be able to develop the results of the guidance given to them as personal responsibility for the future, in order to be able to be more productive. Suggestions to the Palembang City Social Service so that the Social Service coaching program can continue to run in providing opportunities for street children to improve themselves and their lives, besides that hopefully they can add more quotas from coaching so that more street children will get this opportunity.
