As human population grows day by day, the need for energy is alsoincreased.
Power plant and load centers in electrical distribution systems is usually separated very
far, reaching hundreds to thousands of kilometers. This very long distance results in
energy losses. In this study, performance analysis of electric distribution systems
isconducted at Penyulang Anggur Gardu Induk Boombaru Palembang. This research is
conducted by calculating the power losses and voltage drop on the system to determine
whether the electrical system performance can be categorized as good or not. The data
that has been collected is needed to perform the calculation. Based on the calculation,
Penyulang Anggur Gardu Induk Boombaru Palembanghas a total voltage drop of
0,0646914 KV with a percentage of 0,323457%, a total active power loss of 2,534201
KW, and a total reactive power loss of 4,2618569 KW. Based on the results, the
electrical system at Penyulang Anggur Gardu Induk Boombaru Palembang is declared
to have a good category, with the calculated voltage drop and power losses having a
relatively small value.
