Summary Survival Strategies and Family Farmers Of Rice In The 2019 Dry Season In Ulak Petangisan Village District Of Pemulutan Barat Regency Of Ogan Ilir Rice farmer family survival strategies during the 2019 dry season in Ulak Petangisan Village, Pemulutan Barat District, Ogan Ilir Regency. he object of this study is a rice farmer family in Ulak Petangisan Village who only has one to two hectares of paddy This study aims to determine how the rice farmer family's survival strategy in Ulak Petangisan Village in the dry season in 2019 Fields. The concept used in this study which examines the problem of survival strategy, this is the concept of survival strategy from Edi Soeharto 2009. The method used is descriptive qualitative how the survival strategy of rice farmer families and rice farmers who are the main informants and the village head who is the key informant, who becomes the supporting informant of a goods wholesaler in Ulak Petangisan Village who is the informant in this study. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews with key informants, key informants, and supporting informants, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the survival strategy of rice farming families is that they try to do substitute jobs when they experience crop failure. they also carry out three survival strategies. Consists of an active strategy, in which rice farmers who experience crop failure change jobs and ask their children and wives to help work. A passive strategy, in which rice farmers save money for food, clothing, and shelter needs and a network strategy in which rice farmers use relatives or neighbors and government assistance in order to meet the needs of their families.
