PENGARUH KONTROL SOSIAL ORANG TUA TERHADAP PERILAKU CYBERBULLYING DI MEDIA SOSIAL PADA SISWI SMP NEGERI 17 PALEMBANG
This research aims to examine social control theory that connects parental social control with cyberbullying behavior, so that it can be seen how much influence parental social control has on cyberbullying behavior students of Junior High School number 17 in Palembang. The research method uses a survey method and the approach used is a quantitative approach. The population in this reserch were seventh, eighth and ninth grade Junior High School number 17 in Palembang students in the total of 437 students with a sample of 209 students. Variables in the reserch are Parental Social Control (Variable X) and Cyberbullying Behavior (Variable Y). Collecting data from both variables using a questionnaire with a Thurstone scale. Testing the prerequisite analysis of the hypothesis using the normality test and linearity test. The results of this study indicate that the correlation coefficient value of 0.484 has a strong enough contribution and the coefficient value is 0.235, which means that Parental Social Control contributes to the effect of cyberbullying behavior by 23.5%. Through partial calculations, there is a significant influence between attachment (X1), commitment (X2), involvement (X3) and belief (X4) on the dependent variable cyberbullying behavior (Y) at the 95% confidence level and the significance value of each result is obtained. testing which is
