This research is entitled "Resilience of Single Parent Women in Plaju Ulu Village, Plaju Palembang District". The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze how the resilience of single parent women as the head of the family in Plaju Ulu Village, Plaju Palembang District. This study uses the concept of resilience paradigm. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The number of informants in this study were 12 informants consisting of 8 main informants and 4 supporting informants. The results of the research on the resilience of single parent women as heads of families in Plaju Ulu Village, Plaju Palembang District, there are several things to conclude, namely the initial description of women's life at the beginning after becoming a single parent and the roles of single parent women as the head of the family and the problems faced single parent women in the role of head of the family and as a mother. At the beginning of a woman's life as a single parent, most women experience a phase of pressure caused by a change in status which makes it difficult for women to start a new life, where psychologically women still experience stress due to adaptation problems with the burden of status and responsibility as a substitute for the head of the family. However, even though they admit that they are quite difficult, they are still quite capable of facing the existing problems and can carry out their roles again, even though they are not perfect, but at least they have tried to do their best for their families.
