BKD of South Sumatra Province is a South Sumatra regional government institution which has the main task of carrying out some of regional government affairs in the field of civil service at the level of South Sumatra Province. BKD of South Sumatra Province does not have a system that can document knowledge properly, resulting the existing knowledge is not well managed. A very ineffective and inefficient searching knowledge process when needed. The knowledge of every employee in the BKD is not equally distributed, so a system that can help the knowledge sharing process is needed. The main goal of this research is to implementing the Knowledge Management System (KMS) at BKD of South Sumatra Province using the Becerra Fernandez Method. In the Becerra Fernandez method, the contingency factor is an approach in creating knowledge management solutions. From a contingency perspective, there is nothing the best knowledge management model that can be adopted by all organizations in all situations. So that by using the Becerra Fernandez method can created knowledge management solutions that are suitable with the organization situation.
