KUALITAS SILASE SERBUK PELEPAH KELAPA SAWIT YANG DIPERKAYA VITAMIN B KOMPLEKS SECARA IN VITRO
The study aims was to determine the quality of silage oil palm fronds powder enhanced with B complex vitamins by in vitro. This research was conducted from February to May 2021 at the Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used included palm frond powder (P0/control), palm frond powder + vitamin B complex 1% (P1), and palm frond powder + vitamin B complex 3% (P2). The parameters observed were the concentration of Partial VFA, NH3, and Microbial Protein. Treatment differences were analyzed with the help of SPSS software and Duncan's Test. The results of this study showed that vitamin B complex supplementation at different levels had different results and increased in each treatment. On the observation of the Acetic Acid, the highest value was obtained in the P2 treatment (64.69 mM), while the highest Propionic and Butyric Acid were found in the P1 (32.00 mM) and P0 (33.00 mM) treatments. Furthermore, different results were shown on the observation of the value of NH3 concentration and microbial protein, where the highest value for each variable was obtained in the P0 treatment (4.13 mM) and (129.5).
