The quality and productivity of smallholder rubber in Indonesia are still low. This problem causes the price received by farmers to be relatively low, namely around 60-70% of the price of the fee on board. Therefore it is interesting to compare the profits received by marketing institutions as parties that are directly related to factories in the rubber distribution chain. The objectives of this study were: (1) To analyze the difference in profit between buying high quality rubber or low quality rubber for collectors in Simpang Gegas Village, Kepungut District, Musi Rawas Regency. (2) Describe the method of determining the purchase price of a farmer's box in Simpang Gegas Village, Kepungut District, Musi Rawas Regency. (3) reviewing the strategies that have been carried out by collecting traders so that farmers continue to sell to these collecting traders. The research method used in this study is a survey method and data collection methods using the interview method with the help of a questionnaire. This research was conducted in December 2020 with the number of respondents as many as 3 collector traders in Simpang Gegas Village, Pole Pumpung Kepungut District. The data processing method used independent sample t-test with the help of the SPSS application and descriptive explanations regarding the conditions that existed when the research was carried out. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant difference between the profits of collectors and buying high quality Rubber Material compared to low quality Rubber Material. The SICOM stock exchange is used as a reference for the basic price of rubber materials. Collector traders provide a purchase price for rubber at a base price of Rp18.513. At low quality Rp. 6.333. and high quality Rp7.667. What is studied from the implementation of a strategy based on the pattern of social relationships between collectors and rubber farmers in the village of Simpang Gegas Finding is that the sample collectors only optimize the personal relationship factor and facilitate the buying and selling process of the Rubber Material crop.
