PENGARUH ASAL BIJI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN JAMUR TERBAWA BIJI KACANG TANAH (ARACHIS HYPOGEAE L.)
In peanuts, there are quite a lot of compounds in the form of protein, carbohydrates, oil, minerals, phosphorus, potassium and iron which is needed by the body. Peanut is one of the palawija plants, has the opportunity to develop agro-industry to support efficient and effective regional economic development, can reduce poverty, especially for low-income groups. One of the causes of damage to peanuts is mold contamination during storage. The Aspergillus sp. in peanuts can result in decreased germination, discoloration, increase in temperature and humidity. The aim of this research was to find out what kind of fungal contamination occurred in the three peanuts with different sources. The study was conducted with 3 different storage ages of peanuts, namely peanuts that had just been harvested from Tanjung Pering, peanuts with 3 weeks of storage from Indralaya market and peanuts which had the longest storage period of 1 year from Lampung. In this study, peanuts were grown in boxes lined with moisturized tissue arranged 5 sides and 4 below with an incubation period of 14 days. For 14 days, the germination of peanut seeds was observed and the contamination that occurred in the three peanut sources. Fungal contamination only occurs in peanuts originating from the growing mushroom lampung, namely, Aspergillus sp. Fusarium sp and Botryodiplodia theobromae on groundnut seeds that are grown by mushrooms experiencing a reduction in seed germination. The seeds that have the best germination power are true ones from the Indralaya Market. which has a long shelf life of 3 weeks. One of the causes of damage to peanuts is mold contamination during storage. Aspergillus sp. In seeds, it can cause a decrease in germination, change in color, increase in temperature and humidity. Aspergillus sp., is a fungus that has a very large species diversity and a very wide host range. There is contamination of Aspergillus sp. can cause a decrease in the germination power of peanut seeds.
