UJI KINERJA MESIN PENCACAH RUMPUT TIPE VIETNAM PADA BERBAGAI HIJAUAN PAKAN DAN LAMA PENGERINGAN
This research aims to determine the effect of feed forage and drying length on the performance of the cutting machine which includes the effective capacity of the machine, uniformity of the retribuation results, retribuation rendemen, and engine power needs. This research will be conducted from January 2020 to February 2020 in the Experimental Cage Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used is Randomized Design of Factorial Group (RAKF) with two research factors, namely feed forage type (A) and drying length (B) with three treatment levels and each combination of treatment repeated three times. For the highest effective capacity value of the machine is found in the combination of elephant grass forage treatment and drying length of 0 days (A2B1) amounting to 121.56 kg/h. For the average percentage of uniformity treatment combinations measuring 2 cm to 5 cm are the combination of bengal grass forage treatment and 1 day drying time (A3B2) which is 25.78%. For retribuation design that has the highest value is a combination of elephant grass forage treatment and 1 day drying length (A2B2) of 88.60%. And for the lowest power consumption there is a combination of elephant grass forage treatment and 0-day drying length (A2B1) of 212,37W.
