KINERJA MESIN TETAS TIPE RAK MENGGUNAKAN MESIN KONTROL XM-18 BERDASARKAN DAYA TETAS TELUR
This study aims to test the performance of a rack-type egg incubator using the XM-18 incubator controller based on the hatchability of eggs. This research will be carried out in the Department of Agricultural Technology and Cages, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University in February 2020 until its completion. The method used was experimental with descriptive data analysis patterns with several stages of research, namely Hatching Machine Preparation, Hatching Egg Preparation, Hatching Machine Operation, Hatching Machine Testing. The parameters of this research were incubator temperature and environment, incubator relative humidity and environment, incubator energy efficiency, fertility and hatchability. The results showed that the highest incubator temperature was 37.7ᵒC and the lowest temperature was 37.3ᵒC. The highest incubator humidity occurred on the 19th day, namely 64.75% and the lowest occurred on the 12th day, namely 52%. The energy requirement of the incubator for 21 days based on the length of operation of the tool is 72.14 kWh while the energy requirement based on measurements using the AC Wattmeter is 30.934 kWh. Energy efficiency of the incubator is 42.88%. The fertility of broiler chicken eggs was 76.67% and the hatchability of broiler chicken eggs was 91.30%.
