BIOLOGI REPRODUKSI DAN TANGGAP FUNGSINONAL Telenomus sp. (HYMENOPTERA: SCELIONIDAE) PADA TELUR Eurydema Pulchrum (WESTW.) (HYMENOPTERA: PENTATOMIDAE)
The research was aimed at knowing the reproduction biology of Telenomus sp. parasitizing the egg of E. pulcrhum and studying the liinctional responses of Telenomus sp against E. pulchrum eggs. The research was conducted in Entomological Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwjaya University, from December 2007 to February 2008. The cabbage bug, Eurydema pulchrum (Westw) is one of important pests of cabbage. The population of the insect can naturally be suppressed by its egg parasitoid, Telenomus sp. The research was conducted using direct observation and experiment. The results showed that oviposition period of Telenomus sp. Ranged from 3.00 to 13.00 days with an average of 10.40 + 2.99 days. The number of parasitized E. pulcrhum eggs ranged from 32.00 to 440.00 eggs with an average of 337.7 + 118.58 eggs. The level of parasitization ranged from 6.40 to 31.40% with an average of 27.10 + 7.86%. The egg laying capacity of Telenomus sp. on the egg. E. pulchrum ranged from 32.00 to 440 eggs with an average of 3378.7 + 118.58 eggs. Fermale proportion of emerging Telenomus sp. Ranged from 0.26 to 0.80 with an average of 0.62 + 0.16. The larval period of Telenomus sp. ranged from 11.80 to 13.30 days with an average of 12.12 + 0.42 days. The life cycle of Telenomus sp. ranged from 21.30 to 30.20 days with an average of 28.00 + 3.95 days. The more the eggs provided by the host, the more the eggs parasitized by Telenomus sp.
