RESPON MICROGREENS KANGKUNG DARAT(Ipomoea reptans Poir.) TERHADAP BERBAGAI KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM DAN JARAK TANAM BERBEDA
This study aims to analyze the effect of growing media compositions, spacing and the interaction on growth and production of terrestrial kangkong microgreens, and to obtain the best combination of spacing and growing media in cultivating terrestrial kangkong microgreens. The research was carried out in October 2020 at Komplek Serai Indah block F no.12 Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design which consisted of 2 factors. Factor I was the composition ratio of the growing media, consisted of A1 = 100% soil, A2 = 75% soil + 25% compost, A3 = 50% soil + 50% compost, A4 = 25% soil + 75% compost, A5 = 75% soil + 25% cocopeat, A6 = 50% soil + 50% cocopeat, and A7 = 25% soil + 75% cocopeat. The second factor was the difference in the spacing, consisted of B1 = 1x1 cm, B2 = 1x2 cm, and B3 = 2x2 cm. The parameters observed were plant height, root length, plant fresh weight, root fresh weight, leaf area, pH value, and percentage of germination. Based on research results, the combination of 25% soil + 75% cocopeat and 1x2 cm spacing was the best combination for kangkong microgreens growth based on leaf area parameter and the composition of 25% soil + 75% cocopeat and 2x2 cm spacing were the best compositions for planting medium and spacing on the growth of kangkong microgreens.
