ANALISIS PERAN SEKTOR PERTANIAN DALAM PENYERAPAN TENAGA KERJA DI KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR TAHUN 2015-2019
The agricultural sector is one sector that requires a lot of labor. Ogan Ilir Regency is one of the areas whose regional development is based on the agricultural sector, so that agricultural production becomes the mainstay sector in contributing to regional income and employment. This research was conducted with the aim of: (1) Analyzing the role of the agricultural sector in the absorption of labor in Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) Analyzing growth of employment opportunities in the agricultural sector in Ogan Ilir Regency, (3) Projecting the role of the agricultural sector in absorbing labor for the next five and ten years in Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was conducted in Ogan Ilir Regency and has been carried out from December 2020 to May 2021. There are three analytical tools used in this study, namely, labor multiplier rate, analysis shift share, and forecast projection pure. The role of the agricultural sector in the absorption of labor in Ogan Ilir Regency in 2015-2019 resulted in a labor multiplier of 1.95. This means that the agricultural sector has a major influence on the absorption of labor in Ogan Ilir Regency. The growth of employment opportunities in the agricultural sector in Ogan Ilir Regency in 2015-2019 decreased. The value of growth in employment opportunities is -7,474 or in percentage of -7.01 percent. The projection of employment in the agricultural sector in Ogan Ilir Regency shows that in the next five and ten years the agricultural sector will experience a decline in employment opportunities, as evidenced by the results of the agricultural sector workforce projection for the next five years, which is 68,911 people, which will decrease by 30,206 people and the projection results for the next ten years by 47,910 people which shows that the workforce in the agricultural sector has decreased by 51,207 people.
