This study is intended to identify the influence of third-party fiinds, number of public banks minimum clearing accounts, interest rates of Bank Indonesia obligations on the total credits channeled by public banks in South Sumatra. It uses the secondary data of documents issued by Bank Indonesia in 1991-2010 and a qualiatative and quantitaiive analysis technique. The analysis uses a model called econometrics and applies Eviews 3.0. The result show that third-party fiinds and the total number of public bank have a positive and significant relationship with the channeled investment credits in South Sumatra whereas minimum clearing accounts have a negative and significant one. The interest rates of Bank Indonesia have no relationship with the channeled of investment credits in South Sumatra.
