Social mobility is a movement of individuals or groups of people from one level to another. The purpose of this study is to understand the social mobility of farmers after land conversion, understand the social mobility process of farmers, understand and know the factors that cause social mobility and understand the forms of social mobility of farmers in 24B Tejoagung Village, East Metro District, Metro City. This research was studied using Horton & Hunt's theory of social mobility. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with descriptive-qualitative type. The research strategy used is a case study. This study used data collection techniques based on observation, interviews, literature study and documentation with nine (9) farmers as the main informants. The results showed that there were two farmers experiencing upward vertical social mobility and one farmers experiencing downward vertical social mobility. Then, four farmers experienced horizontal social mobility and two farmers experienced intergenerational social mobility. Key word : Social mobility, Farmer, Land conversion.
