This research is motivated by the reason to find out more deeply the extent to which Kompas.com framed news about the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 plane crash that occurred in early 2021. This study uses the theory of media reality construction with the method of framing analisys by Robert N. Entman. This method consists of four important elements that are trying to be developed in the analisys, namely the defined problem, diagnosed causes, make moral judgement and treatment recommendations. The object of this research is a collection of news related to the downing of the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 aircraft which was published for one week from January 09. 2021. to January 15. 2021. and the number of news analyzed was 15 news. From the results of the research, the researchers concluded that there was framing done by Kompas.com on the news of the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 plane crash.
