In this research has a goal, to see how the effort, carried out by the provincial government of south Sumatra, to introduce tourism potential and to increase international tourist arrivals, through organizing the International Musi Triboatton. This research in the form of qualitative exploratory, while the data sources used are primary and secondary, as for the primary data that the author got by conducting direct interviews with the head of overseas marketing and promotion the South Sumatra culture and tourism department. While the secondary data the authors get through the books, trusted journals and related research, in this study shows the efforts of the provincial government of south Sumatra, in increasing International tourist visits through organizing the International Musi Triboatton event. Have a positive impact from the increase in the number of international tourists who visit, and cooperation with the South Sumatra provincial government, through the South Sumatra culture and tourism department. To develop tourism potential while strengthening the diplomacy of the south Sumatra government but there are some things that hinder efforts made by the government of south Sumatra, namely the budget factor, readiness of facilities and infrastructure, and less supportive community participation, so that the provincial government of South Sumatra have to optimize it even more.
