PENGARUH PEMBERIAN FERMENTASI AIR CUCIAN BERAS TERHADAP SALURAN PENCERNAAN ITIK PEKING
This study aims to determine the effect of fermenting rice rinse water on the digestive tract of Peking ducks. This research was conducted for 12 weeks and used 100 Peking ducks housed in the experimental cages of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University Sriwijaya. This study used a completely randomized design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment consisted of P0 (drinking water without stopping rice washing water), P1 (drinking water + fermented rice washing water 2%), P2 (drinking water + fermented rice washing water 4%), P3 (drinking water + fermented rice washing water 6%), and P4 (drinking water + fermented rice washing water 8%). The variables observed included the small intestine, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, and ceca. The results showed that the administration of light rice milk at doses of 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% had no significant effect (P > 0.05) on the proportion of the weight of the small intestine, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, and ceca of Peking ducks. Based on the results of this study, it can be interpreted that the application of calming rice washing water up to 8% in Peking ducks has not been able to produce an optimal weight of the small intestine, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, and ceca. Keywords: Digestive Tract, Duodenum, Fermentation of Rice Washing Water, Ileum, Jejunum, Lactic Acid Bacteria, Peking Duck, Probiotics, Seka.
