SIFAT FISIK DAN MEKANIK AGREGAT BUATAN DENGAN BAHAN CAMPURAN FLY ASH DAN CLAY
Lightweight materials in building construction are an important requirement for many types of infrastructure. The advantages of lightweight materials affect the volume of construction work both in terms of cost and material requirements. In addition, the use of lightweight materials is also in accordance with the concept of earthquake resistant buildings. In the field of construction, concrete is a material that has more potential to be developed into a lightweight material by modifying its raw materials and manufacturing techniques. One effort to produce lightweight concrete is to use artificial aggregates. Therefore, in this research, the development of artificial aggregates made from fly ash and clay was carried out by varying the composition of the materials and the ratio of water to other materials, using crushing techniques and hardening processes using heating techniques. In this study, artificial aggregates with a minimum density value were obtained, namely artificial aggregates with the code F80-CL20-Ca0-R3-P with a density value of 955.84 kg/m3. Artificial aggregates with a minimum porosity value are artificial aggregates with code F60-CL40-Ca0-R2-P with a porosity value of 57%. The artificial aggregate with the maximum compressive strength value is the artificial aggregate with the code F60-CL40-Ca0-R2-P with a compressive strength value of 11.35 MPa. Artificial aggregates with a minimum impact value are artificial aggregates with code F60-CL40-Ca0-R1-P with an impact value of 38%.
