PENENTUAN ANOMALI EMISI ULTRA LOW FREQUENCY (ULF) SEBAGAI PREKURSOR GEMPABUMI (Studi Kasus: Sumber Gempabumi di Wilayah Provinsi Sumatera Barat dan Sekitarnya tahun 2021)
Earthquake precursors using the earth's magnetic data by analyzing Ultra Low Frequency (ULF) emission anomalies is one of the earthquake disaster mitigation efforts. This study uses 11 earthquake data in the Province of West Sumatra and its surroundings in 2021 with coordinates (3.50ºLS-1.20ºN and 98.10º-102.10ºE). This study was conducted to determine Ultra Low Frequency (ULF) emission anomalies as earthquake precursors by using geomagnetic data from the earthquake precursor monitoring network of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) at the Kepahiyang observation station (KPY) and to determine the lead time using the power polarization method. Z/H ratio. The anomaly is determined based on the polarization value of the SZ/SH ratio which exceeds the standard deviation of the geomagnetic data. The detected anomaly is then validated with the Disturbance Storm Time (DST) index data to ensure that the anomaly is an earthquake precursor. The results of this study indicate that anomalies that arise from every earthquake in West Sumatra in 2021 have different anomalous characteristics, namely having an amplitude that is not always the same and the presence of ULF emission anomalies which were detected as earthquake precursors in 11 earthquakes with a magnitude of 4≤. Mw≤6 in the West Sumatra Region .
