PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BERBAGAI BAHAN PRIMING TERHADAP VIABILITAS DAN VIGOR BENIH PADI
Priming is an invigoration technique that is used as an alternative to improve seed viability and vigor. This aim of this research is to examine the effect of various priming materials to improve the quality of seeds after deterioration. This research was conducted at the laboratory of seed technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from December 2020 to January 2021. This study used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments: aquades 15%, coconut water 15%, banana hump 15%, banana hump 15% + trichoderma 1x105 spores ml-1, coconut water 15% + trichoderma 1x105 spores ml-1, banana hump 15% x coconut water 15% + trichoderma 1x105 spores ml- and 4 replications. In this study, the parameters used were germination pencentage, simultaneity growth, speed of germination, root length, shoot length, and seedling dry weight. Based on the results obtained from the study, it was concluded that the best treatment was coconut water 15%. It can be seen from the parameters of germination, simultaneity growth, speed of germination, and shoot length which showed that the use of coconut water gave highest effect.
