PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA GAMES EDUKATIF DENGAN MEDIA POSTER TERHADAP TINGKAT PEMAHAMAN ISI PIRINGKU PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DASAR
Around 17.8% of children in Indonesia are undernutrition, 29% are stunted, and 18.8% are obese. To overcome these nutritional problems, the government created Isi Piringku program, which is a promotional program about a daily meal guide according to the type and portion. This program obtained 16% of public awareness, which means that many people do not know about this program. This study aims to compare the effectiveness between educational games media and poster to increase the understanding level of the Isi Piringku at the elementary school age children in Sanggar Insan Cendikia Kandis, Siak Regency. This study is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group design. The sample involved in this study collected 72 respondents consisting of 36 respondents in the treated group and 36 respondents in the controlled group. The sampling technique of the research was purposive sampling. Knowledge data was taken through a questionnaire obtained through pre-test and post-test. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U Test. While the effectiveness was tested using the N-Gain Score (α = 0.05). The results showed that educational games and posters media had an effect for increasing children's knowledge as evidenced by the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test in treated group & controlled group (p = 0.000). Statistical test Mann Whitney U Test shows the results there was significant distinction differences increasing knowledge in the treated group when three kind of interventions given. The effectiveness test showed that educational games more effective than posters to improve the understanding of Isi Piringku in elementary school-aged children. From the result can concluded that both of educational games and posters media make an significant impact to increase children knowledge but according effectiveness level show educational games more effective than posters media to increasing knowledge Isi Piringku in elementary school age children.
