ISOLASI STIGMASTEROL DARI EKSTRAK ETIL ASETAT BIJI Garcinia picrorrhiza
Secondary metabolite was isolated from ethyl acetate extract of Garcinia picrorrhiza seed. The extraction was done by maceration and the separation and purification of isolated compound was conducted by chromatographic technique. Determination of isolated compound structure is based on the analysis of spectroscopic data of NMR 1-D and 2-D. The isolated compound is in the form of white crystaJs with meJting point of 21 J-213°C. !H-NMR spectrum showed three signals for vinylic hydrogen at 8h 5.35, 5.15 and 5.02 ppm. Signal at 8h 3.52 ppm (IH, m) is a characteristic signal for metine proton bonded to carbon atom attached to hydroxyl group at C-3 position. 13C-NMR spectrum showed 29 signals and 4 signals of them were the signal of sp2 carbon atom which indicated that the isolated compound had two double bonds. The analysis of DEPT spectrum showed 29 signals of carbon atom which consisted of 6 primary carbon signals (CH3), 9 secondary carbon signals (CH2), 11 tertiary carbon signals (CH) and 3 quartenary carbon signals. Based on the analysis of spectroscopic data and on comparing data to literature, it is concluded that the isolated compound is as steroid that stigmasterol with the molecular formula of C29H48O.
