LAPORAN AKHIR PROFESI KEPERAWATAN KOMPREHENSIF SYSTEMATIC REVIEW: PENGARUH FOTOTERAPI PADA NEONATUS DENGAN HIPERBILIRUBINEMIA
Hyperbilirubin is a condition that causes jaundice in neonates due to high bilirubin levels. This situation can lead to dangerous complications such as chronic jaundice, atetosis with hearing loss and mental retardation. For this reason phototherapy needs to be done as an intervention that can be used to reduce bilirubin levels in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia. Systematic review that used content analysis with a search method using an electronic database such as google scholar and pubmed. The inclusion criteria used are research articles that focus on the effects of phototherapy on decreasing bilirubin in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia that can be accessed by free full text with a range published in 2011-2020. Phototherapy is an effective treatment for neonates with hyperbilirubinemia. The things that must be considered to increase the effectiveness of this phototherapy is double phototherapy with a distance of 20 cm from the baby can be applied from phototherapy. The use of phototherapy using reflective curtains can also be used to increase the surface area exposed and produce greater spectral radiation. Color phototherapy can use blue lights or turquoise color lights and LED type lights which are proven to be more effective than conventional phototherapy. The duration of time for phototherapy use can be done 24 or 36 hours. This treatment not only be done at the hospital, but phototherapy can be done at home too.
