HUBUNGAN ANTARA KADAR SECRETORY IMMUMOGLOBULIN-A (SIgA) ASI DENGAN KEJADIAN INFEKSI SALURAN PERNAPASAN ATAS (ISPA) PADA BAYI DAN BALITA USIA 0-24 BULAN YANG MENDAPATKAN ASI DI KABUPATEN MUSI RAWAS
Upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) in toddlers in Indonesia is still high, based on Riskesdas 2018 showed that there were 93,620 cases of ARI in toddlers. Infants and toddlers aged 0-24 months are very vulnerable to various infectious diseases. The bioactive component of sIgA in breast milk can protect infants against respiratory tract infections. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research to analyze the relationship between breast milk sIgA levels and the incidence of ARI in infants and toddlers who get breast milk in Musi Rawas District. This study was a quantitative study using analytic observations with a cross sectional approach. Data obtained were analyzed univariate, bivariate and multivariate. Respondents were breastfeeding mothers with children aged 0-24 months who were taken by simple random sampling. The frequency of frequent URTI in this study was 30 children (40.5%) and the rare ones were 44 children (59.5%). The mean of sIgA level in breastmilk in the group of children who were frequently affected by URTI was lower than the group who were rarely affected by URTI (1.69 ± 1.06 vs 2.34 ± 0.96 ng/mL). There was a significant negative correlation (p
