HUBUNGAN PERILAKU PEMBERIAN ASI DAN MPASI DENGAN KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KOTA GARO
Nutrition is one of the factors that affect the growth and development of children. Fulfillment of nutrition through inappropriate breastfeeding and complementary foods for a long time will increase the risk of children experiencing stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between breastfeeding and complementary food behavior with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Garo City Health Center Work Area. This study was an analytical observation study with a case control design. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling with a total of 74 respondents consisting of 37 respondents in the group of mothers with stunting toddlers, and 37 respondents in the group of mothers with toddlers not stunting in the work area of the Garo City Health Center. Bivariate analysis used the chi-square test by looked at the Odds ratio (OR). The results showed that half of the respondents aged 20-30 years, most of them had income ≤ DMS, most had a high school education and almost all respondents were not working. The behavior of breastfeeding and complementary food respondents in the working area of the Garo City Health Center is mostly in the good category (58%).
