The Correlation between computer literacy and English mastery of the eleventhhgrade students of SMAN 1 Indralaya Utara
The main objective of this study was to find out whether or not there was a significant correlation between computer literacy and English mastery of the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Indralaya Utara. The method used was a correlational research design. The population was the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Indralaya Utara in the academic year 2014/2015 with a total number of 121 students. The total number of the sample was 40 students. In taking the sample, the simple random sampling method was used. The data were obtained by using a computer literacy questionnaire, ICT subject score, and English mastery test. The results of the questionnaire and the test were analyzed statistically by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 21.00. The results of the study showed that there was a significant positive correlation between computer literacy and English mastery of the eleventh grade students. In other words, when the score of computer literacy was high, the score of English mastery was high too.
