SPESIASI ION LOGAM Cr(III) DAN Cr(VI) MENGGUNAKAN METODE POTENSIOMETRI DI PERAIRAN SEKITAR TPA SUKAWINATAN KOTA PALEMBANG
Speciation studies of Cr3+ and Cr6+ ions have been carried out using the potentiometric method of the concentration cell system. The purpose of the study was to determine the levels of metal ion species Cr(III) and Cr(VI) and to study the distribution of metal ions Cr(III) and Cr(VI) in the Sukawinatan TPA waters in the core zone, buffer zone, and cultivation zone of the Sukawinatan TPA Palembang. The concentration cell potentiometric method consisted of a chromium metal anode and a cathode immersed in an electrolyte solution of chromium ions with different concentrations of the KNO3 salt bridge. The cell potential is measured with a voltmeter. This method is valid for Cr3+ ions with LoD and LoQ of 0.2910 mg/mL and 0.3036 mg/L, while LoD and LoQ of Cr6+ ions are 0.3142 mg/L and 0.6127 mg/L. The precision of the method is based on %RSD for Cr3+ ions 0.1473% and Cr6+ ions 1.2635%, with accuracy reaching 88.521 % for Cr3+ ions and 115.889% for Cr6+ ions. The levels of Cr3+ ions in the leachate at the leachate inlet, pond 1, pond 2, and zone 1 show between 0,517 mg/L to 1,632 mg/L, while for community environmental zones such as rivers, canals, and community standards, it is between 0,296 mg/mL to 0.313 mg/mL. +. The levels of Cr6+ ions in the leachate at the leachate inlet, pond 1, pond 2, and zone 1 show between 0.518 mg/L to 9.787 mg/L, while for community environmental zones such as rivers, canals, and community standards, it is between 0.298 mg/mL to 0.319 mg/mL. The distribution of the curves showed that the highest concentration in the tested area was the value of Cr6+ (9,787 mg/mL) higher than that of Cr3+ (1,632 mg/mL).
