PERBANDINGAN PENGUKURAN DIMENSI VERTIKAL WAJAH SECARA LANGSUNG DAN ANTHROPOMETRIC JARI
Background. Accurate measurement of the vertical dimension is an important step in making denture in order to be used and to provide comfort for the patient. The vertical dimension is the distance from the vertical plane of the maxillary and mandibular relations, as measured from two points of facial anatomy in Subnasal and Menton. The vertical dimension affects mastication, phonetic, and esthetic functions. Objective. To know differences in the measurement of the vertical dimension of the face directly and anthropometric fingers. Materials and Methods. This research had 45 samples were selected by purposive sampling. All dimention vertical of the samples were measured directly on the face and forefinger of the right hand by using a digital caliper stainless haidened. This research was descriptive with cross-sectional design. The data were analyzed using unpaired t test. Rcsults.
